FIFA World Cup; Morocco made new history

Doha: Morocco created a new history in the sensational match of the FIFA World Cup.

In the match played at the Education City Stadium, Morocco defeated Spain to reach the quarter-finals for the first time and knocked the former world champions out of the mega event.

Morocco is the fourth African team to reach the quarter-finals of the FIFA World Cup, previously Cameroon in 1990, Senegal in 2002 and Ghana in 2010 have achieved this feat. The match also ended in a goalless tie, while penalties were used to decide the match, where Morocco defeated Spain 0-3.
