Doha: Moroccan footballer Ashraf Hakimi, emerging on the world stage after winning against Belgium in the group matches of the FIFA World Cup, created history and led his team to the quarter-finals of the event for the first time.
Ashraf Hakimi, born on 4 November 1988 in Madrid, Spain, is a Moroccan footballer with dual citizenship. Instead of playing football for Spain, he preferred to play for the country of his ancestors, Morocco.
