Rawalpindi: Chasing a target of 343 runs on the fifth day of the Rawalpindi Test match, Pakistan scored 264 runs for the loss of 9 players while the national team needed 79 runs to win the first Test.
In the first session on the last day of the Test, opener Imam-ul-Haq could not increase his score much and got out after scoring 48 runs. James Anderson took his wicket.
Wicket keeper batsman Muhammad Rizwan scored 46 runs and was dismissed by James Anderson, while Saud Shakeel, who made a half-century on his Test debut, lost his wicket on the score of 76 by Robinson. Agha Salman scored 30 runs, Azhar Ali scored 40 runs, Zahid Mehmood scored one run and Haris Rauf returned to the pavilion for zero.
Mohammad Rizwan completed his 5000 runs in all formats of cricket.
The fourth day
On the fourth day of the Test, England declared their second innings by scoring 264 runs for the loss of 7 wickets, the national team achieved the target of 343 runs to win. In pursuit of the target, the national team's opener Abdullah Shafiq scored 6 runs, captain Babar Azam returned to the pavilion after scoring 4 runs, while Azhar Ali could not continue batting due to an injury to his finger.
Ollie Robinson and Ben Stokes took one wicket each for England in the second innings.
In the first innings, the entire team of Pakistan was dismissed for 579 runs. The English team's opener Ben Duckett scored zero while Ollie Pope scored 15, Joe Root scored 73, captain Ben Stokes scored zero, Will Jacks scored 24, and Harry Brooks scored 87 runs. For Pakistan, Zahid Mahmood, Naseem Shah and Muhammad Ali took 2, 2 while Agha Salman took one wicket.

The third day
National team openers Abdullah Shafiq and Imamul Haq while captain Babar Azam managed to complete the century. Captain Babar Azam completed his 8th Test cricket century. Imam-ul-Haq scored 121, Abdullah Shafiq 114, Azhar Ali 27, Saud Shakeel 37, Babar Azam 136, Mohammad Rizwan 29 and Naseem Shah scored 15 runs.
Will Jacks dismissed Abdullah Shafiq for 114 runs and took his first Test wicket. Imam-ul-Haq scored 121 runs and was caught out by Robinson off Leach's ball.
Azhar Ali scored 27 runs and was left lbw by Jack Leach. By lunch break, Pakistan scored 298 runs for the loss of 3 wickets.
Saud Shakeel, who played the first Test after the break, was caught out after scoring 37 runs. Babar Azam scored 136 runs and was caught out by Will Jacks. Mohammad Rizwan scored 29 runs and became the victim of James Anderson. Naseem Shah scored 15 runs and was caught out by Will Jacks.
Pakistan scored 499 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in the first innings. Pakistan need 158 more runs to end England's lead with 3 wickets remaining.
Second day
In the match being played at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium on the second day, the English team started the game at the loss of 506 runs and 4 wickets. Initially, the captain Ben Stokes lost the wicket by scoring 41 runs while Liam Livingstone could score 9 runs. Harry Brooke played an innings of 153 runs while Will Jacks 30, Ollie Robinson 37 and Jack Leach scored 6 runs.
The English team scored 151 runs in 26 overs on the second day while their 6 wickets fell, Zahid Mehmood 4, Naseem Shah 3, Muhammad Ali 2 and Haris Rauf managed to get a wicket from Pakistan.
First day
England openers Zach Crowley and Ben Duckett gave their team an aggressive start, both scoring 233 runs in the first wicket partnership, Ben Duckett scoring 107 and Zach Crowley scoring 122 runs. Among the other players, Ollie Pope 108, who scored 23 runs, was outstanding.
Earlier, England captain Ben Stokes won the toss and decided to bat first. He said that efforts will be made to bring Pakistan under pressure by playing better in the beginning. On this occasion, national team captain Babar Azam said that if he had won the toss, he would have decided to bat first.
