Perth: Former Australia captain Ricky Ponting went straight to the commentary box after being discharged from the hospital.
On the third day of the first test, he developed chest pains and was rushed to the hospital, where all vital heart-related tests were performed, clearing him of any serious concerns.
The following day, Ponting was back behind the mic to provide commentary. He said that yesterday on air I had pain in my chest due to which I scared many people, it was a scary moment for me too, now I am much better.
Earlier, a Channel 7 spokesperson confirmed that Ricky Ponting was unwell and would not be providing commentary for the rest of the coverage.
